• Hostelworld.com prepares to announce the top hostels of 2009 at Hoscars award ceremony

  Hostelworld.com, the global market leader in secure hostel and budget accommodation reservations is preparing for the 6th annual hostel conference and Hoscars award ceremony, which is taking place in Dublin, Ireland on the 25th and 26th January, 2010. Over 350 hostel owners and managers from across the world are expected to attend the event.

  The famous HOSCAR (HOStelworld Customers Annual Rating) awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Monday 25th January, celebrating the best hostels across the globe. The only awards recognising hostels, HOSCARs will be presented to hostels across a range of different categories including best hostel by continent, cleanest hostel, best staff, most secure, best location and more, culminating with the announcement of the Top 10 hostels in the World in 2009. Awards are presented to hostels with the highest customer ratings and reviews, as voted for by over 900,000 Hostelworld.com customers.

  The 2010 hostel conference will take a look at the future of travel and the changes that are driving the travel industry. Industry leaders and key speakers will focus on marketing hostels through social and mobile; giving hostels an insight into the best way to get in touch with customers both on the 'small screen' and how best to use social networks such as Facebook to help boost bottom line profits. The conference also gives hostel owners and managers from around the world an opportunity to network and discuss matters pertaining directly to their industry and listen to topics that matter to them.
