Friendly staff and a very dozy cat made this a great stay. My fiancee and I were only in town for a few hours between flights but a great place for a nap and very close to Chinatown. Would definitely choose again.

Staff at this hostel were incredibly helpful. The directions to the hostel on the website could be a little better, but asking a couple of locals (as always) is the best way to find it. Walk East from Hualumphong station along Rama IV Road. When you see a Peugeot sign on the building diagonally across from you about 2-3 floors up, you're almost there (5-10 mins walk along Rama IV, at the lights). Walk past the TMG bank (not its exact initials, can't remember) and take a left down the lane.

Having booked for private room I was a little disappointed to be slung into a dorm on the first night. Also needed to reiterate that I had paid deposit; therefore full price was not on. A hostel where you have to insist a little; otherwise staff helpful and friendly. Cold showers were just fine. Internet fine. No coffee/tea/drinking water.

This place was very homey and the staff were friendly. Nice big couches to sit in and the wireless worked well. Coffee was good. Relatively expensive for a hostel, but fine with that. Beautiful garden and plants.

More of a hotel than a hostel - nowhere to hang out and swap stories with people. Facilities were excellent - computer in the room, with (presumably) internet. Towels etc supplied. Close to lots of things - nightlife, hutongs next to lake etc. Some confusion with check-in, but showed booking number - no problem. Location great - just across from Nanluogu station on Line 6. Look for the sign on the gateway, maybe 3 feet off the ground, grey brick entrance. Hostel is to the left through the gate.

A little hard to find with the instructions. Adequate for a few nights. The best way to find this hostel: From the Bei Men [北门] stop (available on bus 5, 600, 606), from either side of the road, walk past the McDonalds you will see; turn right at the first street you come to - this is HeBei Da jie. Walk up this street for about 10 minutes until you see the overpass - the hostel is before the overpass intersection. On the way you will pass a place called E-mart - the hostel is on the other side.

I liked this hostel. Across the river from the hostel were some excellent local food places. I had a great double room overlooking a park, so picked up some tai chi while i was there :> Staff helped with all queries; for some reason the carpet in the room was a little damp. I didn't enquire about this to the staff so chances are it could have been fixed. Quiet and friendly.
