An acceptable hostel. Clean, affordable and in a great location. However, upon arrival, I was met by a very blunt, callous receptionist who clearly did not care much for her job. I'd suggest hiring someone else. Also, the lockers were good and spacious but the main door was open for anybody to walk in off the street.

Adequate for a stopover. Rooms were okay, one big fan that didn’t always reach every bed. Bathrooms were a bit dirty. The pool table, foosball etc. were good but they were in the basement and we didn’t know about them til the last day. Had a kitchen but lots of signs saying Staff Only but we and some other guests ended up using it anyway and the staff were okay with it.

A good hostel, common areas were cool, very comfy. Beds were small but adequate, each had its own fan. Bathrooms were a bit dingy and messy. Couldn’t figure the hot water, though often it’s not needed. Good facilities, security lockers, laundry, kitchen etc. and helpful staff.

Former owner left, place is under renovations, which was not mentioned before booking. Free breakfast, activities, common room, pool table etc. were non-existent. There was no real reception. The 'hostel dog' was aggressive and territorial, he growled, barked and bared his teeth every time we passed. Stayed in a private room and, despite having locked the door, a drunk man entered at 4am. All keys open all doors! Quite a shock when your sleeping. We left early. Terrible place! Stay elsewhere!
the dog is extreamly friendly, exactly what you would expect of your gaurd dog, he would never bite anyone. due to quiet season we are renovating, so our common room, pool table area, kitchen and activitie room arent accessible. we will be finished renovations in a week and will have an even greater more enjoyable space. there was a man staying here that lost his key after coming back from the club and woke the owner(who does'ent normally deal with the check-ins) so wasnt sure what room the guest was in. we accept this as an unacceptable accident and have since hired a lovely scottish man to help manage customers.(theres a spare key kept by the owner) we appalogise profusely

Wonderful and very clean hostel. No flaws whatsoever. Nice beds with amazing aircon and fans, the room was seriously cool. Each bed had a security locker and shelf. Great breakfast every morning, lots to choose from. Showers and toilets were immaculate (a rare find in cheap hostels). Close to main strip, yet quiet at night. Good wifi. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they even gave us a free bottle of water when leaving. If you are going to LP, stay at DownTown Backpackers.

We booked this as it was the cheapest hostel we could find in Old Quarters and we got what we paid for. Pros: Good breakfast, plenty of choices. Nice rooftop area. Some staff were friendly and nice. Affordable price. Cons: Hot rooms, A/C only good for the bed it is directly beside. Dirty, smelly bathrooms. Some staff were rude and unhelpful. Overall, worth staying if you’ve got a strict budget. Otherwise, choose another hostel, a dollar or two higher.

I know Australia is costly, but this place is pretty expensive for what it is. And "what it is" is a pretty basic and quite dirty hostel made pretty much entirely for tourists down in Adelaide to do some construction work. Having said that, the staff were friendly and the location was good but the lack of security lockers and the constant bug-bites we suffered throughout the night were enough to not have us returning any time soon.

Good hostel, very very big. Clean and in a good location but bloody expensive. Then again, so is everything in Denmark.
Thank you for your review! We're glad you liked our services and facilities. Copenhagen is a very expensive city, having some of the highest operational costs in Europe. We're sorry about that, and will make sure we stay as competitively priced as we can. Thanks again, kind regards, Downtown team.

Not too bad a hostel. When we arrived, there was a big mess of papers and drink bottles in the common area from the night before. Other than that, it was very secure, and located in a good area.

Good location, right across from the Egyptian Museum. Friendly staff (a bit loopy, but with good heart). Elevator is very dirty and a bit dodgy. Overall, not bad.

Good, clean hostel, not too much happening though. A lot of pretentious "peace corps" people there. Okay location, not much to do in the area.

Great, clean hostel, close to the Shark Diving place. Friendly, super-helpful staff. Not much going on there, very few people staying when I was there.

Very good hostel. Clean, secure and in a good location. Only flaw I could think of would be that the front door needed to be buzzed open to get OUT of the hostel. A bit much considering the staff were sometimes busy elsewhere, leaving you stranded inside the hostel. But not a major issue. Overall, highly recommended.

Great hostel for transiting, so close to the airport. Clean and secure area with very friendly staff - they let us all join in on their staff Christmas party. Not much of a party place as it's not in the touristy area but still a great hostel. And soooooo cheap!!!

Pros: good party atmosphere (planned events every night) and located close to South Beach. Cons: some very rude staff members (breakfast lady snapped at me for asking an innocent question), they didn't restock stuff very often (TP mainly), laundry offered but dryers didn't work (only told me after I had a bag of wet clothes), kitchen had crockery but no appliances (no oven, stove or even a fridge), room had too many beds for their size (12 beds where should be 6). Below average, not recommended.

An ok hostel. Comfy beds, secure rooms and lockers. But, for the (excessive) money that you pay, I at least expected a kitchen. Nothing to cook or eat with. Forced to eat out mostly. And all the powerpoints are only on one side of the bedroom. Unfortunately not much other choice in NYC though

Great hostel. Friendly people, clean and secure rooms. First hostel I've stayed in that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the costly side but ,in Miami, what isn't?

Good hostel if you're looking for a place to party. No silent areas for those just wanting a quiet night in. Some beds are situated with the outside lights (which remained on all night) shining right in on them. Good bathrooms, hot showers. Kitchen well supplied, though a pretty dirty.

Granted you're not spoilt for choice in this area but this hostel was average. Pros: The domes are cool and the beds are clean and very comfortable. Showers are hot and well-pressured. Hostel located close to main square with the few bars the town has to offer. Cons: Very expensive for what you get, which is just a bed and a bathroom. Average breakfast. No distinct "common area." No kitchen for the guests' use. No lockers (for the safety conscious). Staff weren't the warmest, just... okay.

Good hostel, not much happening but probably because the peak season in Ushuaia doesn't start until later. Good wifi, good rooms, good cleanliness, although I've never been to a hostel where they make you take off your shoes at the front door... you can wear a clean, inside pair but then you have to take them off before entering the common area. Hmmm.

Good hostel, works with an affordable Amazon backpacker tour agency. Great, helpful staff. Renovations being done, so a bit of a mess but that's understandable. Will be quite good when up and running (pool being built). The rooms were very clean. Lockers available and secure front gate. Not much atmosphere at the moment but hopefully will change when it's everything is complete.

Great hostel, friendly staff, great atmosphere, awesome parties and very secure rooms (card swipe to get in). However, was a bit dirty, especially the kitchen, very few plates or bowls or utensils. Left with what I thought were mosquito bites but after three days, began to wonder if they were bedbug bites instead. Well recommended but take care, and maybe keep your bags and clothes off the beds, just in case.

Great hostel. Not a party hostel, very quiet. But it is chill, clean, affordable, secure, comfortable, and very friendly. Staff always helped out with questions and warned of any no-go areas for gringos. AND IT HAS A ROCK CLIMBING WALL I could climb from the kitchen up into my bedroom window. It was awesome.

Great hostel. Amazing pool, though a little too cold to use at that time of year. Friendly staff. Good location. Not much happening when I was there, may have just been the quiet season. Well worth the very affordable price.

Great hostel. Located further from town, but the sky is incredible at night, plus a free is shuttle included. Only problem with the location is tour companies arriving late for pick up. Cleaned daily, though the kitchen was a bit messy. Amazing, friendly staff, always getting involved, can book tours and give great tips for things to do around San Pedro. Awesome atmosphere, especially on the BBQ nights. Outside lockers provided for security. Highly recommend this hostel to everyone.

Average hostel. Cheap - for a reason. Despite being cleaned each day, it still remained dirty (very grimy kitchen). Lots of stuff needs fixing (loose floorboards, sagging bed etc). Staff were okay, helpful enough. Lockers were available but, with mine, I could reach through the backboard (not very secure). In a good location though, near the pubs of Ecuador Avenue. Just looking for a bed, near good nightlife, for an affordable price? Then this is your hostel. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

There is not one negative thing I can say about this hostel. Clean, adorable little place, close to town. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Great, friendly atmosphere. Affordably priced. 10/10, would recommend to family and friends, and would gladly stay there again, if I'm ever back that way. Thanks to all at Margouya for an excellent stay.

Pros: Good location, in the city, close to Central Station. Cheapest I could find in Sydney. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When I checked out, they allowed me to store my baggage in the back room for the day, as I had a very late flight out of Sydney. Cons: Quite messy. Despite naming and bagging my food in the fridge, it kept getting stolen. (Both of those things were more a fellow patron issue, not to do with the hostel) Overall, a bit messy, but a acceptable hostel.

Though a little more on the expensive side, it's about the cheapest you'll get in Canberra at late notice. Looks very unassuming on the outside, almost bland, but once inside, it's actually quite a neat, tidy hostel. Helpful staff, clean rooms, well-stocked kitchen area. The bathrooms were a little untidy but I've certainly seen worse. All in all, quite a good hostel. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed in late Feb, in the midst of a renovation I assume, as the place was a mess of white paint and tools scartered around the joint. Bathrooms were average. But, in a good location (close to a relatively large train station) and affordably priced. Comfy beds as well.

Pros: Great location, close to the beach and the main Waikiki strip. Helpful staff, great atmosphere in our room and downstairs (we were there over NYE 2016). Tours and activities available every day. Affordable rates. Cons: Even though they're cleaned daily, the bathrooms are in need of a restoration, a bit dilapidated and dirty (though we didn't really mind all that much). Only one washing machine, constantly being used, struggled to get a load of washing in. Overall: Good, cheap hostel.
