Safarov's Family Hostel

Very good place

One of best hostels in Tashkent (I live in Uzbekistan, so have been to lots). GREAT AC, lots of electrical outlets, nice communal areas including a big kitchen and balconies. The dorm rooms can be locked from the inside, but you don't get a key--so if you're with strangers who will be in and out at different times you can't really lock the door. There are lockers and curtains on the bed, but just a minor security thing. Bathrooms on the smaller side, but clean and never overcrowded so all good!

Very clean, good wifi, great kitchen . Not so much atmosphere. Close to airport and a few good restaurants around, but a fair distance from city center if this is what you are looking for.
