Quirky beach hostel in the south coast of Sri Lanka offering you the space to surf, meet, mix, play or do some yoga. Whether you are traveling solo or with your crew Beatroot got you covered. Our uber comfortable bedding, colorful social spaces and mouthwatering food will make you feel right at home!
The hostel hosts 22 beds: three 6 bed mixed dorms and one 4 bed female dorm. Cozy bedding, fluffy pillows, free towels, international sockets for your devices, reading light for each bed, air conditioning to beat the heat and free wi-fi to all our guests to stay connected!

I booked 3 nights at beatroot and ended up staying 2 weeks. This is the place to be in Weligama. Such a chill vibe, helpful and friendly staff, clean and comfortable, good location for surfing, delicious breakfast and good coffee. I can’t complain at all. Beatroot feels like home away from home

Had an amazing stay at Beatroot! The rooms are comfy and clean. The atmosphere at the hostel is really good, the setup makes such a great place to meet new people.

The hostel is superbly located a short walk away from shops, restaurants and the bus station and just across the road from the beach and great surf spot. That is, if you even feel like leaving the hostel - the cool common area, delicious food, super friendly staff and in general chill atmosphere of the place provides for a very enjoyable stay. Returning to the hostel after a great day of surf, kicking back and hanging out with the staff and other guests simply made the time at beatroot amazing!
