Our room was located in the middle of it all. During the evening we had noise from the restaurant/common area and at night you could hear hostel guests coming home as they had to cross in front of our room to get to their own.
It certainly didn't make it any better that we woke up every morning at 7 due to craftsmen building new rooms directly opposite us. Our room was extremely stuffy and we had to share toilet and shower with restaurant guest.
The price was similar to hotel prices.

The restaurant and travel agency make this hostel very convenient, although you really pay the price for this $$$. Restaurant food was average at best, and be warned there are lots of mosquitoes, I got eaten alive so wear repellent! Beds were comfy but dorm rooms were incredibly dark, had to use a head torch during the day with the light on to pack my bag.

Nice hostel. Great social area and helpful staff. However worst pillows I’ve ever had in a hostel.
