The hosts at Sloth Backpacker Hostel are so nice and helpful. They helped us book trips every time. The hostel was placed in the city center. Functional little kitchen for cooking, which we used often. Small dorm rooms for only four people which was nice. The dorm room was only cleaned when some on the room checked out - which is normal and okay but it got pretty dirty. The beds was a bit hard but otherwise a really pleasant stay!

Would stay here again for sure. Please note taxes are not included and the card machine doesn’t work (typical Costa Rica) so make sure you have enough cash as the local ATMs don’t always work either.

- amazing location, close to everything you need and a short drive to all the local activities
- really helpful staff that give you loads of info and help you book any trips directly from reception
- clean rooms and comfy beds
- affordable private rooms and breakfast
Cons
- no indoor common space bes

It was good. But when I was there the electricity went on an of 1-2 times a day for a couple of hours. It wasn’t the hostels fault but still a bit annoying(but they where prepared and had emergency lights in the kitchen and main area)
