Welcome to LEBO’S SOWETO! We offer a unique and personal experience of Soweto. Integrated with the community around us we invite day as well as overnight guests to be part of this vibrant township. Our day guests can book one of the interactive tours by walk, bicycle or tuk-tuk as well as relaxing with a home cooked lunch or dinner in the outdoors in our community park and around the fire and boma. An overnight experience at the Backpackers Lodge offers the budget traveller a choice of accommodation – camping, dormitory and private En Suite rooms. Home cooked meals served by the fire and the opportunity to explore Soweto on their own by safely strolling around and mingling with the locals or on an organized tour conducted by local tour guides. Community volunteering, self-guided tours and free bicycle hire is also available for the curious traveller staying longer.

One of the best hostels I have ever been! I super recommend it if you want to discover Soweto and organise day trips to Johannesburg. The hostel is clean and the staff is super helpful and kind.

Honestly such an amazing experience! To see the pride in the staff at Lebo’s soweto’s is pure joy! The atmosphere is kindness ,warmth and genuine care.
The communication from the start was fantastic which gave me confidence to stay there and to trust. The programs offered really shows the diversity. The guides and staff are knowledgeable and take time to chat.
It was great to have food options with being catered to or using the kitchen.
Fantastic way to experience truth !
