Walkers House Hostel is the ideal starting point to enjoy Salento and take full advantage of its opportunities, we are 3 blocks from the center of the village, with transportation nearby to go to the Cocora Valley; where you can visit the highest palms in the world, the Nevados National Park.
We are located in a very quiet area with no noise, 3 blocks from the main square, 2 blocks from the hospital, 3 blocks from the police station.
Our hostel offers affordable accommodation for all types of travellers. Our shared dorms are spacious rooms, balconies. The beds are solid and equipped with comfortable mattresses and a closet where you can store your backpack (private rooms!). We make you feel at home, our attention is personalised.

the door lock was broken and the toilet was clocked when we arrived. the receptionist fixed it for us that evening so we had to leave our belongings in a room that was unlocked. the shower was freezing cold, no hot water. the check out was 12 instead of 2pm like the website says. the receptionist was really nice to store our belongings in a locker after we checked out early. also, the price for cocoravalley shown in the hostel is wrong. its 15mil for the main hike.

Excellent staff. He was super accommodating with our requests, including when one of my friends had some stomach troubles. The cleanliness of the rooms was way better than what we had been expecting for the price. It's also not too close to the city center, so the loud music and noise from the bars won't disturb you, but is within easy walking distance. The only small nitpick is that there is only one bathroom to share between all the people there, although this was not really a problem for us.

Staff were lovely and our room was very nice. Comfy beds with thick blankets, a privacy curtain and plugs. It was a short walk to the central square. Wifi didn't reach our room upstairs. There was only one bathroom to share but it was never an issue
