Hotel Il Mercante di Venezia

I was amazed at how simple it was to get from the train station to this location. If you are dealing with luggage, are a 'newbie' to Venice or just don't want to hassle with finding your way around, this is a great place. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Both with property issues but as well as answering questions about things like where to buy ACTV tickets and the like. It is an older hotel which for me was a good thing but for others might not? I would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great place to stay. The big bonus was the helpfull staff.

The pictures don't do it justice at all. It's a very cute room which was a lovely surprise, a bit expensive but you're in Venice and accessible to the ferry lines as well as easily walkable to other parts of Venice. It's a great area off of a main road so the sound traffic is minimal but it's in a great accessible area near great restaurants. The staff was lovely as well! The bed was fairly comfortable.
