Both downtown Munich and the Augustine beer garden are close by, and the free breakfast is ‘amazing’.

We're perfectly located for anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Munich. Situated next to Central Station, the area is also busy and provides easy access to all that central Munich has to offer.
There's easy and direct access from Munich Airport by tube, straight to Central Station. You can choose either ensuite rooms (with their own private bathroom) or the less expensive dorm rooms (with showers and toilets shared with a limited number of other guests).
Our dorms have unique features including reading lights. Every bed has its own separate locker, to use for free with your own lock, as well as warm and very comfy beds!
There are also locks to rent at reception. Linen are included and the beds are made for you. We offer a wide selection of dorms, ranging from four-bed to a 12-bed dorm for the really price-conscious traveller. You can have a nice breakfast too for only 7€ extra. Choose from a huge selection of delicious items to a perfect start into the day.
If you arrive earlier than 3 pm, you can leave your bags in our free luggage room as long as there is space available. We also offer private secure lockers to rent. Our bar has very good prices and is open daily from 6pm. We're the only hostel serving Munichs most famous beer (Hofbräu) ! Show your skills at our pool table!
We would like to note that we don’t have a guest kitchen and don’t plan to get one. And remember – there’s no age limit, no curfew, no lock-out and no strict laws! Welcome to our home!

I imagine this is an old hotel turned into a hostel. The location is great and our private ensuite double room (510) decent. The water from the shower head went in all directions and came out really hard but that was a minor thing considering the reasonable price.

We had a one-off bad experience here, but the receptionists are very nice and the rooms are manageable in a normal situation. The location is very central which we thought would be great when we booked, but it feels a bit unsafe. There were a lot of drunk people and men asking for money on the block. The lockers in the room don’t close all the way and they’re cages under your bunk. There is a nice bar area in the lobby and the receptionists were very nice. While we were checking in though, a man came in who was very, very drunk, soiled his pants, threw up on himself, and was in the process of defecating in his pants while trying to talk to the reception. We were all gagging, including the receptionists. The man left at some point and when we finally checked in we realized he was on our floor. Everyone was running trying to get away from the smell. I feel bad for whoever was staying in the same room as him because we could smell it from our room down the hall. If we left the room, the smell was unbearable. He was wandering in the hallway. Some staff tried to mitigate the smell by spraying lysol but it was not enough to be able to stay there all night. We couldn’t leave for the bathroom without gagging. 2 of us even threw up. It was bad! We had to leave and the front desk was very understanding. They couldn’t give us a refund without their manager and told us to come back tomorrow to try but I am just disputing with my credit card because there was no way we were going back if he was still staying there.

They assigned someone to my bed after I had already checked in and I came back after dinner to a strange man sleeping in it. I had to move beds which was not so much of a hassle but definitely was a nuisance. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and the dorms themselves were comfortable.
