Pacheco Farmhouse

At Pacheco we provide a warm and friendly atmosphere so guests can truly kick back and appreciate the beauty of Ecuador's Cloud Forest in Intag. Our chic and simple rooms have everything you need, stay in one of our charming cabins for a special experience. We provide colourful, healthy meals and we can cater for vegetarians or vegans. Since many chefs have influenced our kitchen over the years our menu evolves all the time.

With lush hills, mountains, lakes and waterfalls all within walking distance, and 300 m of gorgeous riverbank for you to explore, there is more than enough to keep you occupied in our natural haven. Other activities like bird watching, canopying, fishing or visiting the local hot baths are available.

We are located in the up-and-coming tourist destination of Intag. Although Pacheco sits in a beautiful and remote part of the valley, the charming town of Apuela is just 3 miles away. Otavalo can be easily reached by buses, and 3 stop directly outside Pacheco every day.

Our location in the middle of the Imbabura Unesco Geopark means we have some of the most diverse animal and plant life on the planet, including orchids found nowhere else in earth! We want to look after our amazingly diverse eco-system, so we strive to make Pacheco as ecological as possible.

Our stone farmhouse has been renovated with locally sourced wood and bamboo and all our furniture is upcycled. We source all our organic produce locally and make our breads, jams and dairy products from scratch. Our kitchen waste becomes compost for the garden, helping to fertilize the soil and nurturing our birds and insects.
