The Kasbah Langkawi dormitory building has 2 areas with different bedding: Flying beds and Japanese style beds on the upper deck. All beds have a mosquito net, plug-point and a fan.
The bathrooms are separated for men and women. Each side has 3 toilets, 2 showers and 2 sink.
In our Restaurant, Café & Bar we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Kasbah food menu offers range of authentic local dishes and a good mix of western delicacies with daily specials and live grill on the weekend.
The Kasbah is also widely known as a gathering space for local artisan and musicians giving it a special atmosphere with live performance, exhibition and knowledge talk a frequent event in the restaurant.
***Property Policies & Conditions:
1. Cancellation policy: At least 3 days advance notice for free cancellation.
2. Check in from 14:00 to 23:00.
3. Check out before 12:00 noon.
4. Payment upon arrival by cash.
5. For Non-Malaysian Guest, RM10 for each room per night as Tourism tax implemented starting 1st Sept 2017.
6. No Smoking inside the room.
7. Age restriction: no children below 12 years old.
8. Reception working hours 09:00-23:00.

I stayed at the Kasbah for three nights and loved it. Facilities are quite simple but everything you need. No AC means that the dorm room is boiling during the day, but I didn’t find it to be a problem at night at all. There is also a really good restaurant/common area to hang out at (food is amazing)! The staff is great and go out of their way to help you arrange tours, ferries etc! Would definitely come back:)

Very open concept and chilled! Super cool common space and quiet artsy vibes overall. Nice rain showers and clean bathrooms. Mosquito nets were a must and worked well. Not a far walk to the main strip! A bit hot , no AC and small fans (as long as you’re ready) but had such a lovely stay here extending for an extra night !

Loved this hostel! It seems to not have recovered from COVID, and so the restaurant is not operating and there is no live music. However there dining area is open to guests and you can use basic kitchen appliances (fridge, toaster, etc.) and lounge in the open space. Showers were my absolute favourite after 6 months travelling asia! And staff was lovely. My fan wasn’t working and the gentleman working fixed it within 20 min. So lovely
