Taking in to account the Pura Vida lifestyle of Costa Rica, Downtown Hostel Montezuma is a great place with a chill atmosphere. The staff of Suzanna, Pedro and the amazing nightguard Leo makes you feel right at home. They are always smiling and always willing to help you, when you need it. The hostel is located perfect in the city center, very close to the bus stop coming from Cobano. The beaches, bars, Sodas and supermarkets are very close, making this hostel a great and very cheap option.

It is a small and cute hostel, sadly we had a couple of cockroaches and a mouse in our room and stuff.

positives: cozy common area, nice and helpful staff. Negatives: really poor condition on the dorm i stayed in: the smell was awful and some of the walls seemed to have rot in them. Place felt unclean. Also nothing that prevented bugs from entering through the windows.
