Awful stay. We arrived at the hostel to be told we were in another hostel “happy hostel”. I was confused as I had booked this hostel but they said it was full. They told us happy hostel was exactly the same as what we had booked. Luckily we checked trip advisor for happy hostel as hostel world had no photos and no ratings. The hostel was nothing like bakawan at all! We refused to stay there and they got the manager. The manager said they had FORGOT our booking and allowed 2 walk ins.

Breakfast: not great. Cold fried eggs that could have been sat on the plate for 2 hours, no tea. Really should cook eggs to order and offer more than coffee. Very clean and modern l, decorated in a way that could have great vibes, however staff are often not in, let alone manning the bar. Therefore no one staying there stays to use the communal areas so doesn't create a social atmosphere. Although staff are very friendly and helpful when you do see them. Shame as has potential
