They try to scam you! We booked a privat room on hostelworld as a couple. But when we arrived there, we were told that we have to pay double the amount. The lady at the counter told us that there is a false offer on hostelworld and that we have to pay double, thereby neglecting the confirmational mail (legally a contract) stating the price/type of room we ordered on hostelworld. We heard from other travelers that she did the same with them. Yet, the same „false“ offer is as well on booking.com.
