Postarski Dom na Vrsicu

Postman’s Lodge is located in the heart of the Julian Alps of Slovenia. The lodge is situated on Vrsic Pass at an altitude of 1,688 meters and is a popular destination for hikers, climbers, cyclists, and motorcyclists. Vrsic Pass is also accessible by car and autobus.

The lodge was built in 1913 as a postal station, where postmen would rest and change their horses on the journey between Kranjska Gora and Trenta. Today, Postman’s Lodge is a charming and cozy mountain cottage where visitors can eat traditional Slovenian cuisine and sleep (26 beds in 10 rooms and 28 beds in 2 dormitory rooms). In addition, guests can also enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the outdoor terrace because Postman’s Lodge has the most beautiful view of all Vrsic cottages.

The lodge has WC, a washbasin with hot and cold water on the ground floor and first floor, a shower for guests, and free WiFi. Sanitary and inn premises are centrally heated.

Cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
