Welcome to the Grand Hostel Berlin Classic – your perfect home away from home. ☺
Our unique charming property is directly located in the vibrant district of Kreuzberg, well known for it’s art scene, bars and night life.
With us you will find an excellent yet affordable luxury accommodation with high hygienic and security standards. Choose your own private room or make new friends in a shared dormitory.
The hostel is situated in a building from 1877 with historical heritage. We are proud to share this old piece of Berlin with you, including super high ceilings, which are partly equipped with the original ornamental furnishings.
Since this building has such a historical background we do not have an elevator, however our ground floor is wheelchair friendly.
For the perfect start to your day, breakfast is available from our grand bistro. After enjoying breakfast, you can start to explore Berlin with most of the city's main attractions, such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Museum and the famous Brandenburg Gate, all within walking distance.
The nearest u-train station with access to three lines (U1, U3 & U7) is only a one minute walk away.
Not to forget to mention our daily Happy Hour in our library bar – the perfect place to meet new people and make forever friends. And also our rotating tours and events. Maybe two more reasons why we have won several HOSCARS and also the German Hostel Contest 'My heavenly Hostel' on VOX TV

Rooms are not at all shielded from the sounds on the hallway, you can hear everything, and the doors closing are loud as well.
Only a few small toilets for a lot of people.

Good facilities except from the fact that the dorm room was extremely warm because of no fans, air conditioning and no wind at all through open windows. (Stayed there in August).
Biggest plus: Comfortable beds in dorm room and the breakfast buffet is nice.

Nice place, nice staff and good facilities. A bit noisy from the train passing by and the music from the bar but nothing a pair of earplugs can't fix. Decent breakfast with something for everyone.
Location was excellent for sightseeing - almost everything was reachable by foot and the rest you could easily reach with S-bahn, U-bahn, bus or bike, whatever works for you.
