When I stayed there was absolutely no atmosphere. There aren’t really any common areas. No-one mans the front desk so.. that’s weird. None of the staff speak any English when you do see them. I know that’s a bit of a privileged gripe but come on dude your in the capital city. Second on that note is they don’t accept card payments (which to be fair you are warned about in the hostel bio, but still..).
