Callander Hostel

We offer the following private (en-suite) rooms, to suit a variety of different group sizes:

1x Twin Room
1x Twin Room (with additional sofa bed)
2x 4-Bed Family Rooms (2 single beds and 1 set of bunkbeds)
1x 6-Bed Family Dorm (2 single beds and 2 sets of bunkbeds)
Unfortunately, all of our bedrooms are situated on the first floor, up a single flight of stairs. This means they may not be accessible for all guests.

Each room comes with bed linen and towels provided. As well as tea & coffee making facilities, each room also has its own small fridge.

During your stay, you may wish to make use of our communal area downstairs. In our kitchen area, you can make use of the microwave or cooker and there is a good range of kitchen utensils (including pots, plates and cutlery) for you to use. We have cleaning supplies (including disinfectant) available for guest use, to help make your stay as safe as possible.

Our garden at the rear of the hostel has several picnic tables, from which you can enjoy the excellent views of nearby Ben Ledi.

Unfortunately, we do not have a drying room. However, for cyclists, we have limited (secure) bike storage available in addition to the private parking area at the rear of the building.

Guests seeking a more exclusive experience can choose one of our newly-built, luxury pods. These units are situated in the CYP Garden, providing all of our guests with an unrivalled view of nearby Ben Ledi.

This glamping option offers the perfect solution for guests who prefer a little extra privacy, with each lodge boasting its own kitchenette and full en-suite facilities. Being located on the same site as CYP Hostel, the pods still offer the perfect combination of easy access to both the high street and the local countryside.

No two pods are the same, with each having been built with its own unique customisations (detailed below). That being said, whichever pod you choose, you can be sure that you'll have the following:

A well-equipped kitchen area, with a fridge, a two-ring hob, a microwave, an instant boiling water tap and crockery.
A double bed (with all bed linen and towels provided).
A functional bathroom (including an electric shower).
Underfloor heating, to help ensure that your stay is comfortable all year round.
A covered porch, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the spectacular view.

Check-In & Payment: We use a self check-in system. Guest will be emailed a google form to complete 3 days prior to arrival. Once the google form has been returned guests will be sent an email containing check-in details. All payment will be taken 48 hours prior to your arrival date and is non-refunable.

Callander Hostel is a social enterprise run by Callander Youth Project Trust (CYP). The hostel allows CYP to offer employability training and opportunities to young people from the local area, with the profits being re-invested in other CYP projects. More broadly, CYP provides youth services for people (aged 11-25) living within Callander and the surrounding area – incorporating a variety of activities and development opportunities.


Unfortunately, at this time, Callander Hostel cannot offer disabled access to accommodation – due to the nature of the building all bedrooms are located upstairs.
