I loved this place. I wanted a quiet place in Berlin, and that's what I got. Everyone I met were helpful, for example when the key got stuck. I arrived outside of check-in hours and it wasn't a problem at all. I enjoyed all my interactions with the host (Anne). Also, the nicest dorm layout I think I've ever seen. I missed a cooking plate and for bed linen to be included in the price (it was â‚¬5 extra and Anne promised to make the information more clear about that).

I booked the Minimal Hostel for two nights in November. I stayed in a co-ed room that had six beds. This was my first time staying in a co-ed room. I was a little nervous and hesitant, but it was great. The employees and guests were friendly. I felt safe, relaxed, and comfortable. For negatives: we did have some miscommunication in regards to check in. Also, the WC downstairs was clean, but smelled a little funky. Overall Minimal was perfect for me; a solo traveler who's not interested in the party scene.
